Swissix (Swiss Internet Exchange) is a non-profit association and operates a distributed peering platform within Switzerland. We are pleased to welcome ISP's, carriers, hosting companies and enterprise networks as members and participants.
We are happy to announce that, effective October 1st, 2004, recurring fees for peering ports will be waived. No more monthly or yearly charges!

April 21, 2008: SwissIX reaches 2Gbps peek aggregated traffic for the first time. This is almost a 100% increase in one year.
April 3, 2008: SwissIX is now 10Gig capable at equinix.
September 22, 2007: 8th SwissIX site at colozüri is now online.
February 28, 2007: SwissIX passes the "1Gbps aggregated traffic milestone"
June 22, 2005: 6th SwissIX site at Layer One is now online.
June 8, 2005: "Der Bund" writes an article about SwissIX.
February 18, 2005: SwissIX database has been redesigned, Webpage has been ported to apache2 with php 4.3 and xhtml1.1/css2. The webpage is now also accessible over IPv6 and SSL.
December 6, 2004: 5th SwissIX site at colobern.ch is now online.
September 22, 2004: Traffic, Traffic, Traffic ...: Netzwoche writes a story about SwissIX.
September 17, 2004: 4th SwissIX site at IXEurope Datacenter 2 is now online.
